Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security systems for unusual activity and respond to alerts promptly.
  • Investigate security breaches and incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for remediation.
  • Implement and maintain security tools and technologies to safeguard against threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and mitigate risks.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a security operations role, preferably in a SOC environment.
  • Proficiency in security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with threat intelligence platforms and threat hunting techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies.
  • Advanced certifications in cybersecurity or related fields.
