Job Description
Astra Defend is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Security Operations Center (SOC) Intern. This is an exciting opportunity for freshers or those with up to 3 years of experience who are eager to enter the world of cybersecurity and IT services. As an intern, you will work in a hybrid environment and gain hands-on experience with the latest tools and techniques used in the field of cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts in real-time
- Assist in incident response and investigations
- Help identify and mitigate potential security threats
- Document and report findings to the security team
- Collaborate on developing new security best practices
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats
Job Requirements
• Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (threats, vulnerabilities, attacks)
• Familiarity with security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications in cybersecurity (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, etc.)
• Prior experience with SOC operations or internships in cybersecurity
• Knowledge of cloud security and advanced cybersecurity tools
