Job Description

Kamlax Global Technologies is seeking a skilled Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats. This role is critical in maintaining the security posture of our organization by ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze security events from various sources, including SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software.
  • Respond to security incidents, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Develop and implement security monitoring policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to secure the organization’s network and systems.
  • Provide reports and recommendations to management on security improvements.
Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity role.
• Strong knowledge of security systems, network protocols, and cybersecurity tools.
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
• Experience in performing forensic analysis and threat hunting.
