Job Description
SandBox Security is expanding its Private 5G Security Operations Center and is hiring SOC Analysts – Level 1 with strong telecom security expertise.
This role is focused on first-line monitoring, detection, and triage of security events across 4G/5G RAN and Core environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in telecom SOC operations and a solid understanding of telecom network security within 24×7 operational environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform first-level monitoring and triage of security alerts within 4G/5G RAN and Core networks.
- Investigate and escalate security incidents as per SOC procedures.
- Monitor and analyze logs using SIEM and SOAR platforms.
- Support detection and response activities in telecom-specific environments.
- Collaborate with L2/L3 analysts for deeper investigation and remediation.
- Ensure accurate documentation of incidents and response actions.
Job Requirements
• Mandatory experience in Telecom SOC environments.
• Strong understanding of 4G/5G protocols (RAN & Core).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms.
• Practical experience with Splunk and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and the OSI model.
• Willingness to work in rotational 24x7 SOC shifts.
• Exposure to both IT and OT environments.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Private 5G security environments.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with telecom threat landscapes and attack vectors.
