Job Description
Microland Limited is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Cybersecurity with deep expertise in Email Security technologies. This role requires hands-on experience in managing and securing enterprise email environments using Mimecast and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (MDO), along with exposure to Microsoft Purview DLP.
The ideal candidate will have strong administration and incident response experience, ensuring secure email infrastructure, threat detection, and data loss prevention across enterprise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage enterprise email security solutions, including Mimecast and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (MDO).
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to email-based security incidents.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Purview DLP policies and controls.
- Investigate phishing, malware, spoofing, and business email compromise (BEC) incidents.
- Optimize email security configurations to enhance threat detection and prevention.
- Collaborate with SOC and IT teams for extended detection and response (XDR) integration.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on email security best practices.
Job Requirements
• 7.5–11 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on email security.
• Hands-on experience with Mimecast and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (MDO).
• Experience in email security administration and incident response.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview DLP.
• Strong understanding of email threat vectors, phishing campaigns, and malware analysis.
• Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or Microsoft security certifications.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale security operations environments.
