Job Description
We are urgently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a backfill position with our client in Manhattan, NY. This is a long-term contract opportunity with one of New York City’s leading agencies. The role is onsite and requires a seasoned professional with experience in large enterprise environments and expertise in network design and configuration.
Responsibilities:
- Design and configure large-scale network infrastructures for enterprise environments
- Lead network optimization and troubleshooting efforts
- Implement and maintain MPLS, VRF-lite configurations, and SD-WAN technologies
- Collaborate with team members and manage network operations independently
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and Cisco ACI
- Utilize tools such as Wireshark to monitor and analyze network performance
Job Requirements
• 12+ years of experience in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently
• Expertise in MPLS, VRF-lite configurations, and SD-WAN technologies
• Proficiency in troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Familiarity with Cisco ACI and Wireshark
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with large-scale enterprise networks
• Certifications in relevant network technologies
