Job Description

UV Cyber is hiring a Security Analyst L1 with 2-3 years of experience for our Hyderabad office. This role requires proficiency in incident response, SOC, SIEM, EDR, and threat analysis. The candidate must be ready to join within 0 to 15 days and attend a face-to-face interview in Hyderabad.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and respond to security incidents in a SOC/MSS environment
  • Conduct threat analysis and handle cyber attacks
  • Utilize SIEM, EDR, and other security tools for detection and response
  • Perform threat hunting and vulnerability assessments
  • Document findings and coordinate remediation efforts
  • Develop and execute Incident Response Playbooks (IRP)
  • Maintain visibility and detection in cloud environments
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization
Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a SOC team
• Certified Ethical Hacker certification
• Proficiency in incident management, detection, and response
• Extensive knowledge of network, endpoint, threat intelligence, and IT infrastructure
• Understanding of attack activities such as phishing, scanning, DDOS, and malicious code
• Deep understanding of logging mechanisms for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS
• Experience with advanced persistent threats and human adversary compromises
• Proficiency with EDR, anti-virus, threat hunting, forensics, and encryption
• Expertise in SIEM platforms such as ArcSight, QRadar, LogLogic, or Splunk
• Scripting skills for automation in Windows, Linux, and Unix environments
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with malware analysis, secure code review, and penetration testing
• Understanding of attacker techniques that leverage email and cloud-service tactics
• Good understanding of both offensive and defensive security practices
