Job Description

UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a motivated and talented Network Engineer L1 to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for fresh graduates or professionals with up to 1 year of experience in networking to kick-start their career. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of routing, switching, security, wireless, and data center technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure 100% network uptime.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly availability and performance reports.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of outages and recommend preventive measures.
  • Upgrade firmware/software of network devices as needed.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, including ISPs and OEMs, to support network infrastructure.
  • Design, build, and implement extranet connectivity using site-to-site IPSec VPN or dedicated MPLS connectivity.
  • Implement configurations following the client’s change management process, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Firewall and Load Balancing team to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Address high and low severity tickets, adhering to SLA processes.
  • Perform End-of-Life hardware upgrades on both head-end and remote devices, ensuring up-to-date asset management.
  • Work in rotational 24/7 shifts.
Job Requirements

• Basic knowledge of routing, switching, security (Palo Alto), wireless, and data center technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to work in 24/7 rotational shifts.
• Good communication and customer handling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA certification is highly preferable.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
