Job Description

BAYKAR Pakistan is seeking a talented and passionate IT Support Officer to join our dynamic team in Rawalpindi. As an IT Support Officer, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support to end-users, and ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and resolve IT-related issues.
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new employees on IT systems.
  • Manage and maintain servers, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems.
  • Administer and support various operating systems (e.g., Windows).
  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications and updates.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Keep inventory records of hardware and software assets.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to resolve issues.
Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2 to 3 years of proven experience in IT operations, system administration, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
• Proficiency in system and network administration tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network security protocols and measures.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup procedures.
• Familiarity with IT documentation practices.
