Job Description
Fort Knox Outsourcing is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal Controls Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing, risk management, and internal control frameworks. This role is critical in maintaining and improving the organization’s control environment, ensuring compliance, and supporting business integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement
- Conduct audits and risk assessments across various departments
- Recommend corrective actions for control deficiencies
- Collaborate with departments to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting internal controls
- Provide training and guidance to staff on internal control policies and best practices
- Prepare reports and present findings to senior management
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3–5 years of proven experience in internal auditing, internal controls, or risk management within a bank, FinTech, or audit firm
• Strong understanding of internal control principles and frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO)
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficient in IT tools used in internal control processes
• High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, PRM, or FRM
• Experience in training or guiding staff on internal control procedures
• Ability to work effectively across teams and departments
