Job Description
We at KPMG are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-4 years of experience in a similar role, along with relevant certifications such as CEH, ECSA, ECIH, or CHFI. Immediate and early joiners are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand IT security standards and frameworks like OWASP, NIST, and CIS
- Identify and assess security risks in networks, application platforms, and infrastructure
- Perform threat hunting, particularly in the Dark Web, to identify data leaks and breaches
- Conduct security research on emerging threats like APTs, malware, and other developments
- Work closely with the Cyber team on red team assessments, offering insights into cybersecurity risks
- Automate security tasks using scripting knowledge (Python or Bash)
- Maintain a strong understanding of network security, web and mobile application security, and cloud platforms
Job Requirements
• Strong understanding of OSI, TCP/IP models, network basics, and Internet-based research tools
• Ability to communicate technical threats and risks to non-technical executives
• Knowledge of OSINT frameworks, open-source repositories, and Google Dorking
• Familiarity with information security, network security, endpoint security, and advanced threat protection
• Experience in cyber analytics, security intelligence platforms, and threat intelligence frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
• CEH, ECSA, ECIH, or CHFI certifications
• Scripting knowledge in Python or Bash for automation purposes
• Experience working with UNIX/Linux, Windows security, and cloud platforms
