Job Description

Talvox is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Expert with proven experience in securing software products and infrastructure. This is a remote freelance/contract role, ideal for individuals with hands-on expertise in cybersecurity protocols and tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain security systems and protocols to safeguard company assets.
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using industry tools such as Nessus, Metasploit, and Burp Suite.
  • Monitor networks and systems for potential threats and incidents, and provide rapid response to any breaches.
  • Implement firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and DLP solutions to secure the environment.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards like GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.
  • Automate security monitoring and incident response using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Job Requirements

• Proven experience in cybersecurity with a focus on securing software products.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and network security.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit, Burp Suite).
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM systems, and DLP solutions.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation and scripting for security monitoring and response.
