Responsibilities:

  • Network onboarding and provisioning in cloud environments.
  • Ensuring compliance with government network security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA).
  • Designing and implementing secure network solutions following best practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams with strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Managing cloud networking services like VPCs, Direct Connect, VPN gateways, transit gateways, network firewalls, and web application firewalls across AWS, Azure, and other major cloud providers.
  • Utilizing automation tools (e.g., Python, Terraform) for network configuration and management.
  • Applying scrum/sprint methodologies effectively.
Job Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.
• Familiarity with security regulations, standards, and compliance requirements for cloud network environments.
• Experience with network security controls, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network monitoring tools in the cloud.
• Great communication skills.
• Large environment exposure.
• Architecture/engineering mindset.
• Matured methodology and process on creating infrastructure solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NIST 171 security framework, Azure Defender, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Macie.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking-Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or similar.
