Job Description

Elliott Moss Consulting is seeking an experienced AWS Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust cloud security architectures and policies within AWS environments. This is a hybrid position with a duration of 12+ months.

Responsibilities:
  • Review, design, and implement cloud security architectures and policies for AWS environments.
  • Develop and enforce data protection and encryption strategies for cloud data and assets.
  • Design and enforce policies for data access, retention, and deletions.
  • Utilize AWS security services and features such as IAM, KMS, VPC, S3, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, and others.
  • Implement cloud security best practices, including DevSecOps and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Manage and refine SIEM systems for alerting purposes.
  • Address cloud security threats and vulnerabilities, including insider threats, misconfigurations, and data leakage.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security standards and frameworks like NIST, ISO, and CSA.
Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud security, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Proficiency in data protection strategies for cloud storage, databases, and applications.
• Deep knowledge of AWS-specific data protection tools and services.
• Strong understanding of data protection and encryption methods such as AES, RSA, PKI, SSL/TLS.
• Experience with cloud security tools such as AWS Inspector, GuardDuty, Macie, WAF, etc.
• Familiarity with global data protection laws and regulations.
• Hands-on experience in implementing security controls in AWS environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Security Specialty or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code and experience with Data Lakes.
