Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer (Data Protection Architect) to support enterprise-level financial services clients. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud security, data protection, and cryptography, with a strong focus on securing sensitive data in cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud security architecture with a focus on data protection
- Manage AWS security services including IAM, KMS, and encryption mechanisms
- Protect sensitive data such as PII and financial information
- Implement and maintain cryptographic controls and key management solutions
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS and ISO 27001
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to strengthen cloud posture
- Assess risks and recommend security improvements in cloud environments
Job Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or cloud security
• Strong expertise in AWS security (IAM, KMS, encryption)
• Deep understanding of data protection and cryptography principles
• Experience handling sensitive data (PII, financial data)
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and networking
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI-DSS and ISO 27001
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, CCSP)
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
