Cyber Security Analyst – Chennai – 0 to 1 Year Experience
Job Description
Pynesec Technologies is seeking a motivated Cyber Security Analyst (Fresher) to join our security team. This role begins with a 3-month internship, offering hands-on exposure to real-world cybersecurity engagements. High-performing candidates will be considered for full-time employment.
You will work under expert guidance to perform VAPT on web and mobile applications, assist in infrastructure security assessments, and contribute to vulnerability management initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Web and Mobile Application VAPT under supervision
- Assist in network and infrastructure security assessments
- Conduct manual and automated vulnerability analysis
- Prepare detailed VAPT reports and document findings
- Coordinate with development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities
- Stay updated on emerging threats, exploits, and attack techniques
Job Requirements
• Basic understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common security vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of network protocols and web application architecture
• Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Nikto, and Wireshark
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to penetration testing methodologies
• Understanding of bug bounty platforms and responsible disclosure
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or similar) is an advantage
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (or pursuing) will be a plus
