WAF Consultant – Powai – 5 to 9 Years Experience
Job Description
Atos is expanding its Cybersecurity team and is seeking an experienced WAF Consultant to strengthen its application security practice. This role involves managing and optimizing Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions, ensuring secure web traffic inspection, and implementing robust rule tuning strategies to protect enterprise applications from advanced threats.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in leading WAF platforms and a solid understanding of web application security controls.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions.
- Configure, monitor, and fine-tune security policies and rules.
- Perform traffic inspection and analyze web-based threats.
- Implement security controls to mitigate OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Optimize WAF performance and reduce false positives.
- Collaborate with application and security teams to ensure secure deployments.
- Prepare documentation and provide technical recommendations for security improvements.
Job Requirements
• 5–9 years of experience in application security or WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with:
Imperva SecureSphere
Akamai Technologies WAF solutions
F5 WAF solutions
• Strong knowledge of web application architecture and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
• Experience in rule creation, policy tuning, and traffic analysis.
• Good understanding of common web attacks and mitigation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in enterprise-level security environments.
• Certifications related to application security or network security.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC.
