Associate Security Analyst [VAPT Team] – Delhi – Freshers
Job Description
CyberSRC Consultancy is hiring Freshers for the VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing) Team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring cybersecurity professionals to begin their careers in Information Security with hands-on exposure to real-world threats, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing activities.
The selected candidates will work closely with experienced security professionals and gain practical experience in network security, incident response, and advanced technical analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and incidents in real time.
- Support threat detection and vulnerability assessment activities.
- Assist in log analysis and incident response processes.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments of network and security devices using open-source and commercial tools.
- Perform network mapping to identify exposed ports and services.
- Conduct penetration testing and exploit validation using tools such as Nessus and Metasploit.
- Analyze scan reports and recommend remediation or mitigation plans.
- Track new vulnerabilities across various network and security devices.
- Review software posture and coordinate version upgrades with operations teams.
- Perform advanced technical analysis of security intrusions.
- Audit configurations of network and security devices.
- Prepare detailed, client-specific security reports.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in B.Tech, BCA, MCA, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Understanding of Python concepts such as multithreading and multiprocessing.
• Familiarity with virtual environments (venv) and repository management.
• Knowledge of Linux OS, basic commands, and scripting in a Linux environment.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity and threat intelligence concepts.
• Exposure to network vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of firewall, IPS, VPN, proxy, and gateway security solutions.
• Understanding of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) and CERT advisories.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to deliver within defined timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on practice with security tools in lab environments.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and industry best practices.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
