VAPT Consultant – Pune – 2 to 5 Years Experience
Job Description
Softenger is seeking a skilled VAPT Consultant to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) or ethical hacking, with hands-on expertise across multiple platforms, applications, and infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge security tools and frameworks while enhancing enterprise security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of networks, web/mobile applications, APIs, and cloud environments
- Utilize tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, Nikto, OWASP ZAP, and more
- Apply standards such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and best practices in secure coding
- Perform periodic threat modeling and contribute to red/blue team exercises
- Document findings and provide detailed remediation recommendations
Job Requirements
• 2–5+ years of proven experience in VAPT or ethical hacking
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard security tools
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and threat modeling techniques
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications such as CEH, OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, or CISSP are highly desirable
