Job Description
PurpleSynapz is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will lead our SOC team, ensuring effective and timely incident detection, response, and mitigation. This role is perfect for someone with strong analytical and leadership skills who is passionate about cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the SOC team, providing guidance and direction on incident management
- Oversee security monitoring, analysis, and reporting of security events
- Develop and implement SOC processes and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate with IT teams for threat analysis and mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
- Conduct regular threat assessments and risk analyses
- Maintain security tools, systems, and technologies
Job Requirements
• 2 to 5 years of experience in SOC or similar cybersecurity roles
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in cybersecurity (CISSP, CEH, CISM, etc.)
• Experience in threat hunting and incident response
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.)
• Prior experience in managing security teams
