Job Description
As a SOC L1 Analyst at CyberGate Defense, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security events within our Security Operations Center (SOC). You will be the first line of defense in detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats and incidents. This role involves utilizing security tools, investigating security breaches, and providing insights to protect our clients from cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and analyze incidents.
- Perform initial triage on incidents and escalate as needed.
- Conduct security investigations to determine the nature and extent of incidents.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security measures and controls.
- Collaborate with other team members to respond to and resolve security issues.
Job Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in a SOC or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools such as SIEM.
• Strong understanding of network security concepts.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications like CEH, CompTIA Security+, or other relevant qualifications.
• Experience in incident response and threat hunting.
• Knowledge of various attack vectors and defense mechanisms.
