Hampton North, an MSSP client, is seeking a skilled SOC Engineer with a focus on automation to join their team. This is a 100% remote position, but applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. No C2C is available for this role. The successful candidate will help drive automation initiatives and work closely with security operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation scripts for security operations using Python.
- Collaborate with the SOC team to enhance efficiency using SOAR platforms.
- Support and maintain security incident detection and response processes.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and events.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues within the SOC.
Job Requirements
• Proven experience in SOC operations (4 to 9 years).
• Strong skills in Python scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms.
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
Preferred Qualifications
• Industry certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience working with MSSP environments.
• Familiarity with various security monitoring tools and platforms.
