Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated SOC Analyst L1 to join our team at Open Security Alliance. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to start or advance their career in cybersecurity. The SOC Analyst L1 will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security events and alerts from various sources (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.).
- Perform initial analysis and triage of security incidents.
- Assist in incident response and investigation efforts.
- Document and escalate incidents as necessary.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and other IT teams to resolve security issues.
- Stay current with the latest security trends and technologies.
Job Requirements
• 0-2 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or related cybersecurity role.
• Basic understanding of security technologies and concepts (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, etc.).
• Familiarity with network protocols and services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in a SOC environment.
• Additional certifications in cybersecurity.
