Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated SOC Analyst L1 to join our team at Open Security Alliance. In this role, you will monitor security events and alerts from various sources, perform initial analysis and triage of security incidents, and assist in incident response and investigation efforts. You will document and escalate incidents as necessary, collaborate with senior analysts and other IT teams, and stay current with the latest security trends and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security events and alerts from various sources (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.).
- Perform initial analysis and triage of security incidents.
- Assist in incident response and investigation efforts.
- Document and escalate incidents as necessary.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and other IT teams to resolve security issues.
- Stay current with the latest security trends and technologies.
Job Requirements
• 0-2 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or related cybersecurity role.
• Basic understanding of security technologies and concepts (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, etc.).
• Familiarity with network protocols and services.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication and documentation abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH.
