Job Description
Infopercept is hiring passionate and motivated SOC Analysts (L1) to join our 24×7 Security Operations Center (SOC) team. If you’re enthusiastic about cybersecurity and ready to start or build your career in threat detection and incident response, we want to hear from you! This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor client environments around the clock using SIEM and other security tools
- Triage alerts and escalate high/critical events to Level 2 analysts as per SOPs
- Analyze logs, network traffic, and security events to identify potential threats
- Act as the first point of contact for client queries and incident reporting
- Generate operational reports (daily, weekly, and monthly)
- Document incidents and actions taken during investigations
Job Requirements
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and common attack types (e.g., phishing, malware, DDoS)
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms (preferably Wazuh)
• Knowledge of security technologies like firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection
• Basic log analysis and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a high-pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications
• A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• Completion of relevant cybersecurity training or certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH)
• Prior internship or practical exposure in a cybersecurity environment is a plus
