We are actively hiring for a SOC Analyst to join our team at Soho Square Solutions. This role is based in Des Moines, IA, and we are specifically seeking local candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security events to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Implement security measures and policies to protect data and systems.
- Utilize tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and various cybersecurity software to identify vulnerabilities.
- Work with UNIX, SQL, DB2, Sybase, and Python/Bash to perform regular system checks.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure comprehensive security protocols are in place.
- Maintain and update security documentation and procedures.
- Stay current with new cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a SOC Analyst role or similar.
• Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification.
• CompTIA Security+ (Security+ CE) certification.
• CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+) certification.
• Experience with UNIX, SQL, DB2, Sybase, Python/Bash.
• Familiarity with financial products such as Equity, Fixed Assets, or Fixed Income.
• Proficient in using Splunk and Dynatrace.
Preferred Qualifications
• Additional certifications in cybersecurity or related fields.
• Experience in the financial sector is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
