Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled SOC Analyst to join our team at International Deployment Group (IDG) in Afghanistan. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity threats and the ability to monitor and analyze security events.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor security alerts and events to detect, analyze, and assess potential security incidents.
- Coordinate and execute incident response procedures to contain, mitigate, and recover from security incidents.
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts, ensuring systems are patched and secured against known vulnerabilities.
- Analyze security data to identify suspicious activity and implement security improvements.
- Collaborate with teams to enhance security operations and ensure system integrity.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Familiarity with SIEM solutions and security monitoring tools.
• Understanding of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and malware.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar are a plus.
• Prior experience in a SOC or incident response role.
