Job Description
1218 Global is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security SoC Analyst to join our remote team. This role involves global monitoring and response to security threats, utilizing advanced tools for intrusion prevention, and consolidating security events through SIEM systems. If you have extensive experience in security monitoring, threat analysis, and vulnerability management, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to identified threats on a global scale.
- Proactively search for emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Utilize Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) to mitigate common attacks.
- Consolidate and analyze security events using Security Information Event Management (SIEM) systems.
- Manage email security and vulnerability management.
- Conduct audits and assessments for various organizations (FDIC, NIH, DOD, Novartis, NIST, etc.).
- Provide evidence and investigation services for HR, legal, and GSI investigations.
- Support third-party risk management through BitSight, architecture reviews, and intake
Job Requirements
8+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, specifically in SoC operations.
Strong experience with IPS, SIEM, and security event analysis.
Proven expertise in email security, vulnerability management, and risk assessments.
Experience with audits and assessments for major organizations.
Ability to support investigations and third-party risk management.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
Experience with BitSight and other risk management tools.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
