Security Analyst [Mini Tabletop Exercise] – Kuala Lumpur – 5 to 12 Years Experience
Job Description
Skill Quotient is hiring an experienced Security Analyst with hands-on exposure to mini tabletop exercises. This role focuses on validating security incident preparedness, assessing response effectiveness, and strengthening overall cybersecurity readiness. Candidates available to join immediately or within 30 days are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in and execute mini tabletop security exercises
- Assess incident response readiness and security controls
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas during simulations
- Coordinate with SOC, IT, and security teams
- Document findings, lessons learned, and corrective actions
- Support incident response activities when required
- Ensure alignment with security standards and best practices
Job Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or security operations
• Practical exposure to tabletop or simulation-based security exercises
• Strong understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies
• Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, GCIH, Security+, or equivalent
• Prior SOC or incident response experience
