Job Description
UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. This role involves threat analysis, security monitoring, and incident response in a fast-paced security environment. The ideal candidate will have experience securing and monitoring network infrastructures, applications, operating systems, and security tools.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze network infrastructure, applications, and firewalls for security threats.
- Proactively identify cyber threats across multiple customer environments.
- Monitor alerts using SIEM platforms, respond to incidents, and escalate as needed.
- Perform vulnerability scans, analyze results, and recommend remediation actions.
- Conduct continuous monitoring of security environments and analyze logs for potential threats.
- Improve security posture through proactive threat mitigation strategies.
Job Requirements
• 1 to 2 years of experience in cybersecurity operations.
• Strong knowledge of IT security, network configurations, and system infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, log correlation, and packet analysis tools.
• Understanding of TCP/IP protocols, Active Directory, and security architecture.
• Familiarity with security management tools (e.g., vulnerability management, configuration management).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work 24/7 rotational shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Certifications: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) preferred, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySa+.
