NOC Engineer – Remote – 3 to 8 Years Experience
Job Description
DRL Management is looking for a talented NOC Engineer to join our remote team. As a key member of our Network Operations Center, you’ll be responsible for network monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization to ensure seamless IT operations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and availability using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.
- Diagnose and resolve system and network issues proactively and reactively
- Follow defined procedures for incident escalation and resolution
- Maintain accurate documentation of system designs and configurations
- Implement changes as per change management protocols
- Monitor and respond to security incidents
- Analyze system performance for optimization opportunities
- Support emergency and disaster recovery operations
- Contribute to other IT-related operational tasks as needed
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience in enterprise NOC environments
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.) and VPNs
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, ELK, SolarWinds)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Familiarity with incident management tools and processes
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of VoIP systems and session border controllers (SBCs)
• Understanding of SDN and network virtualization
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or ITIL are a plus
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotating shift schedule
