Job Description
We are looking for a Network Engineer L1 to join our team at Horizon IT & Telecom in Chennai. This position involves fieldwork and requires hands-on experience with routers and switches. The candidate will be responsible for configuring and swapping NCSS540 routers and switches, with support from L2 engineers. Candidates should be prepared for a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Configuration and swapping of routers and switches (NCSS540 models)
- Working on field assignments related to network setup and maintenance
- Providing on-site support with guidance from L2 engineers
- Troubleshooting network issues as needed
- Ensuring the functionality of Cisco network devices
Job Requirements
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a network engineering role
• Experience working with Cisco routers and switches
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and device configuration
• Ability to handle high-pressure work situations
• Local language proficiency is required
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Cisco Field Engineer
• Certifications such as CCNA or similar are a plus
• Familiarity with NCSS540 switches and routers
