Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled L1 SOC Analyst for one of our clients in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security and be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security incidents within a Security Operations Center (SOC).

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze security events from multiple sources.
  • Respond to security incidents and escalate as necessary.
  • Analyze network traffic and data flow for suspicious activity.
  • Collaborate with other teams to enhance SOC capabilities.
  • Create and maintain detailed incident response reports.
Job Requirements

• Experience: Over 5 years of security experience and more than 5 years in IT.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or Computer Security, or equivalent.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced understanding of information security, incident handling, endpoint protection, and encryption.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, and networks.
• Network infrastructure knowledge including TCP/IP and Internet protocols.
• Experience with network packet and Netflow analysis, infrastructure, and operating systems.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, anti-virus, content filtering, and authentication solutions.
• Red teaming and vulnerability assessment/penetration testing (VA/PT) experience is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to various audiences.
• Ability to evaluate and improve current SOC services.
• Experience using security-related exploits and tools.
