IT Security Analyst – Mumbai – 2 to 6 Years Experience
Job Description
Interspence Solutions is hiring an IT Security Analyst to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats for a US-based client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and investigate SIEM alerts, IPS/IDS solutions, and EDR logs.
- Respond to and resolve security incidents and support requests (e.g., device control, URL whitelisting, lockouts).
- Perform daily security checks and generate incident reports.
- Oversee patch management, manually redeploy patches if necessary, and escalate failures.
- Analyze and manage vulnerability scans, filtering out false positives.
- Document incident responses and resolutions accurately.
- Create exclusions and detection lists to reduce false alarms.
Job Requirements
• Graduate degree (Engineering preferred).
• Certifications such as CompTIA CySA+ or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong logical thinking and ability to apply security concepts in practice.
• Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools is required.
• Knowledge of Darktrace, IBM BigFix, and vulnerability scanners is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (must communicate with US-based users).
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in patch management and security monitoring.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence, malware analysis, and endpoint security tools.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts (7 AM - 3 PM, 3 PM - 11 PM, 11 PM - 7 AM).
