Head of DevOps – Qatar – 3 to 9 Years Experience
Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished Head of DevOps to lead and optimize our software delivery processes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in infrastructure automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and cloud platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate across departments and drive innovation through best-in-class DevOps practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of DevOps strategies across all technical teams
- Design, manage, and optimize scalable, secure infrastructure
- Oversee automation of build, release, and deployment pipelines
- Ensure high availability and performance of systems and applications
- Collaborate with software engineering, security, and operations teams
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Job Requirements
• Extensive experience in DevOps leadership roles
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong command of CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving and team management skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Certifications in cloud and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator)
• Experience in enterprise-level or global tech environments
