Job Description

As a Data Privacy Consultant, you will be responsible for safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring compliance with various data protection regulations such as ISO 27701, EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Security Council of India (DSCI), and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E). Your role will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our organization’s data while upholding the rights of individuals regarding their personal information.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data privacy policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments, incident response, and compliance audits.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR.
  • Educate and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization on data privacy matters.
  • Assess complex data privacy risks and propose effective solutions.
Job Requirements

• Certification in data privacy or related fields, such as ISO 27701, EU GDPR, DSCI, CIPP/E, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, and their practical implications for organizations.
• Experience developing and implementing data privacy policies, procedures, and controls.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in conducting privacy impact assessments, incident response, and compliance audits.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in information security or a related field.
• Previous experience in a data privacy or compliance role within a regulated industry.
• Familiarity with international data transfer mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including legal, IT, security, and compliance professionals.
