Application Security Analyst – Mumbai – 2 to 5 Years Experience
Job Description
Indusface is hiring an Application Security Analyst to join our Client Services team. The ideal candidate will perform ethical penetration tests on web applications, mobile apps, or systems to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for improvement. This role requires expertise in various application security techniques and active involvement in the development of security products.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on web and mobile applications
- Assist customers in enhancing their applications’ security posture
- Research new vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and exploitation techniques
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to identify attack vectors and improve security tools
- Develop custom scanner signatures and application firewall rules
- Act as a front-line point of escalation for client engagements
- Provide timely and detailed reports on activities and findings
- Offer both offsite and on-site consulting services to customers
Job Requirements
• BE/MCA/MBA in IT Security/Networking/System Integration or related fields
• 2-5 years of experience in application security audits
• Hands-on experience with White box/Black box/Grey box testing and security source code review
• Expertise in OWASP Application Security Verification Standard
• CEH, OSCP certification, or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong understanding of application vulnerabilities and penetration testing tools
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate findings effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams
