SOC Analyst Tier 1 – Cairo – 0 to 1 Year Experience

Are you passionate about cybersecurity? BasataPay is seeking a motivated SOC Analyst Tier 1 to join our growing team in Cairo. This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in security operations and incident response in a dynamic fintech environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts from SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Analyze logs, network traffic, and system activity to detect and respond to potential threats
- Perform initial triage and containment of threats; escalate critical incidents as needed
- Stay up to date with cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors
- Maintain detailed documentation of incidents and generate security reports
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure a unified and timely response
- Participate in post-incident reviews and support tool optimization and rule tuning
Job Requirements
• 0–1 year of experience in cybersecurity, IT support, or a related field
• Familiarity with SOC operations and cybersecurity tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR)
• Understanding of network protocols, threat detection, and security principles
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GIAC GSEC are an advantage
• Strong analytical and communication skills
