Job Description

WE Data, a subsidiary of Telecom Egypt, is seeking an Information Security Engineering Supervisor specializing in cybersecurity. This role involves leading efforts to develop and implement cyber security risk frameworks, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a cyber security risk management framework.
  • Conduct risk assessments, particularly for critical infrastructure, new products, systems, and processes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with local and industry regulations, and assist internal teams in achieving compliance.
  • Provide compliance requirements for systems and services based on applicable standards.
  • Participate in both internal and external cybersecurity-related audits.
  • Collaborate with all cybersecurity teams to document and track risks, working to mitigate or eliminate impacts.
  • Offer technical cybersecurity guidance to IT and telecommunications teams on best practices.
  • Review cybersecurity documents and contracts with the Legal team to identify compliance gaps and provide actionable recommendations.
Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO27001, ISO27701, CISSP, CRISC.
• Strong understanding of computer networking and cybersecurity concepts.
• Experience with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and Unix.
• Scripting experience is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 3 years focused on cybersecurity risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of compliance regulations and standards.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate audits.
