Job Description
CyberGate Defense is seeking a skilled SOC (Security Operations Center) L1 Analyst to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security threats, performing initial incident analysis, and escalating issues as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and potential threats using SOC tools and technologies
- Perform initial triage of security incidents, and escalate complex issues to higher-level analysts
- Assist in incident response and investigations
- Document incidents, provide reports, and maintain logs
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure all security protocols are followed
- Stay updated with emerging security threats and trends
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in SOC or related security roles
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools
• Knowledge of common security threats and vulnerabilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Must currently reside in the UAE
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP)
• Prior experience in incident response
• Knowledge of network protocols and intrusion detection systems
