Job Description

Ability Pvt Ltd. is hiring a Senior SIEM Engineer for a client in UAE. The SIEM Engineer will design, implement, manage, and optimize SIEM systems to ensure continuous monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents. The role involves analyzing logs and events, collaborating with IT teams, and enhancing the organization’s security posture.

Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, ArcSight).
  • Develop and implement security use cases, alerts, and dashboards for real-time monitoring.
  • Monitor and analyze security events to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide incident response support.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and IT teams to escalate, investigate, and resolve security incidents.
  • Tune and optimize SIEM rules to reduce false positives and enhance detection capabilities.
  • Maintain log integrity and ensure compliance with industry security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats and recommend improvements to SIEM operations.
Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience managing and operating SIEM platforms.
• Strong knowledge of network security, threat detection, and log management.
• Hands-on experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation and rule customization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or SIEM-specific certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Architect).
• Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar).
• Experience in incident response and threat hunting.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
