Job Description

UltraViolet Cyber is hiring for the position of Network Engineer L1. This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to 1 year of experience in network engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring network uptime, managing network devices, and supporting infrastructure. Candidates should be willing to work in 24/7 rotational shifts and must be available for face-to-face interviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure network uptime is 100%.
  • Prepare monthly availability and performance reports.
  • Provide root cause analysis of outages.
  • Upgrade firmware/software of network devices.
  • Manage vendor relationships for ISP and OEM support.
  • Design, build, and implement extranet connectivity with 3rd parties using site-to-site IPSec VPN or MPLS.
  • Implement configurations and adhere to change management processes.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues with the Firewall and Load Balancing team.
  • Handle high and low severity tickets (incidents and SR) and adhere to SLA processes.
  • Upgrade End of Life hardware and maintain asset management.
  • Work on a 24/7 shift basis.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes is required.
Job Requirements

• 0 to 1 year of technical experience in routing, switching, security (Palo Alto), wireless, and data center technologies.
• CCNA certification preferred.
• Good attitude and team/customer handling skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and at the office location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Familiarity with site-to-site IPSec VPN or MPLS.
