Job Description
Syntricate Technologies Inc. is actively seeking a skilled SOC Analyst to join our team for a long-term contract opportunity. This role requires a security-focused professional with essential security certifications. The position is remote, but candidates must be local to Iowa. The selected candidate will work the 2nd shift from 4 PM to 12:30 AM, Wednesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security events using various security tools and platforms.
- Identify, triage, and escalate security incidents as necessary.
- Conduct in-depth investigations and provide recommendations for incident resolution.
- Collaborate with team members to improve security processes and protocols.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of security incidents and responses.
Job Requirements
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment.
• Must have relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift and manage tasks independently.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with state or government clients.
• Additional certifications or specialized training in cybersecurity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
