Job Description

Flint International is seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in providing technical support, with a focus on both physical and virtual environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to learners, staff, and faculty, both face-to-face and remotely, using appropriate support and communication tools.
  • Support physical and virtual classrooms and events, including requirements collection, preparation, testing, and support.
  • Maintain the hardware/software inventory regularly.
  • Monitor and maintain audio and video systems, ensuring their health and executing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Provide hardware and software support for desktop computers and end-user devices like printers and scanners.
  • Participate in special projects, working with team members to meet business needs, complete deliverables, and document processes.
  • Perform end-user testing of applications and systems to detect software defects and inconsistencies, and communicate and track results with other IT sections.
  • Log, follow-up, and close technical support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Report information security incidents or suspicious behaviors to VCAIT and AIT ISM.
  • Adhere to internal and local information security, health, and safety laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Job Requirements

• 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering, computer science, IT, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, Apple) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Mac, and general desktop support issues.
• Experience with end-user devices like printers and scanners.
• Knowledge of audio and video systems like projectors and mixers.
• Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, and other networking concepts.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong customer care skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility.
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Awareness and respect for the customs and cultures of educational learners and employees.
