SIEM Engineer [Junior Level] – India – 1 to 2 Years Experience

We are hiring a Junior SIEM Engineer to join our growing cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for professionals looking to build hands-on experience in SIEM engineering and security operations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring SIEM platforms, analyzing security logs, tuning detection rules, and developing dashboards to enhance threat visibility. Responsibilities:
- Monitor SIEM platform availability and performance
- Parse and analyze incoming security-related log data
- Tune and optimize detection rules for improved threat identification
- Create and maintain dashboards for SIEM use cases and reporting
- Support SOC operations by identifying and escalating security events
- Assist in improving log correlation and alert accuracy
Job Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in SOC, Security Analyst, or SIEM monitoring roles
• Hands-on experience with at least one SIEM tool (Splunk is an advantage)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux log analysis
• Understanding of common cyber threats such as malware, phishing, and brute-force attacks
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to SIEM rule creation and log onboarding
• Familiarity with Elastic Stack or similar log management tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good documentation and communication abilities
