Incident Response Analyst [Mini Tabletop Exercise] – Kuala Lumpur – 5 to 12 Years Experience
Job Description
Skill Quotient is hiring an experienced Incident Response Analyst with hands-on exposure to mini tabletop exercises. The role focuses on testing incident response readiness, validating response playbooks, and improving organizational cyber resilience. Candidates available to join immediately or within 30 days are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and participate in mini tabletop incident response exercises
- Validate incident response plans, playbooks, and escalation workflows
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities during simulations
- Coordinate with SOC, IT, and security stakeholders
- Document exercise outcomes, findings, and remediation actions
- Support live incident response activities when required
- Align response processes with industry best practices
Job Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in incident response or security operations
• Practical experience with tabletop or simulation-based exercises
• Strong understanding of cyber threats, attacks, and response methods
• Good communication, analysis, and reporting skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, or similar security frameworks
• Certifications such as GCIH, CEH, GCED, or equivalent
• Prior SOC or CERT/CSIRT experience
